Fall, my favorite time of year! How about you? Are you happy it’s finally getting cooler? We are lovin’ it here in Georgia! Hoping it won’t be too long before we can take a ride a bit further north to see some beautiful fall colors.
That being said, what do you notice first about my card today? How about the colors? Yep, I’m loving the Pretty Peacock as a non traditional fall color. So when you look at the Come to Gather Designer Series Paper you are going to think fall with a twist.
BUNDLE AND SAVE 10%
Bundle and Save! When you purchase the Gather Together Stamp Set with the coordinating Gathered Leaves Dies you save 10%. Take notice that the leaves in this die set both cut and emboss giving the veins a great 3D look.
Would You Like to Make This Card?
Start with a Pretty Peacock card base 5-1/2” x 8-1/2 “ folded in half.
Adhere a 5-1/2” x 1-1/2” piece of Come To Gather Designer Series Paper to the bottom half of the card front.
Cut the largest Stitched Nested Labels Die with your die cutting machine and then stamp the leaves with Pretty Peacock ink (stamped off). That means to ink it and stamp on scrap paper and then stamp on your project without re-inking so you have a lighter version of the color.
Cut leaves in Cajun Craze and Soft Suede cardstock using your die cutting machine and adhere those to the from of the card.
Stamp the sentiment on Pumpkin Pie and punch with the Apple Builder Punch. Stamp the stem with Early Espresso and punch. Glue the stem to the pumpkin and make sure you get it right side up for a pumpkin. I realized after the fact that mine was upside down. Things happen!!
Add the pumpkin to the card with dimensionals and then add a Linen Thread bow with a glue dot.

Life gets crazy and when it does you often have to put something on the back burner and for me lately that has been my blog. But, I would really like to get back to it. So what better way then to start with a post that was just sitting there waiting for me to finish it.
The Perfectly Plaid Suite is one of my favorite new suites in the Holiday Catalog. It’s the first one I had to get my hands on for several reasons. First, I love punches! Yes, I couldn’t exist without my dies and die cutting machine but punches just make your crafting life easy! And when you purchase the stamp set and punch as a bundle you save 10%.
Second, I love pretty plaid paper! Great Christmas colors and the gold metallic lines that run through it make it extra special. You definitely need to get yourself some Perfectly Plaid Designer Series Paper if you are a plaid lover like me.
And thirdly, look at the awesome embellishments. The Shaded Spruce and gold metallic ribbon is yummy and there are jingle bells in 3 colors! If you haven’t already purchased this suite you need to take another look.

Just popping in today with a quick post. I’m sharing one of the cards we’ll be making at Thursday’s Simply Beautiful Card Class. It uses the same stamp set I used yesterdaybut in a totally different way. Yesterday I colored a bit with the Blends and today I created a monochromatic card in Berry Burst.
The stamp set is called Heartfelt Blooms and you can receive it FREE during Sale-A-Bration! That’s right, FREE! With every $50 you purchase you get to choose a Free product from the Sale-A-Bration brochure.
So what are your thoughts about the look of this image? Do you like the photographic look? I’m thinking it’s really cool. It’s what Stampin’ Up! is calling a Distinctive stamp. It’s a stamp that lays down ink at different opacities giving the image more depth….so it looks like a photographic finish. What I’m loving is that it looks beautiful stamped in any color and when you stamp it in smoky slate it looks great with added color.
Would you like to receive this card as happy mail? If the answer is yes leave a comment. I’m picking someone from the comments each day to receive the posted card. So stop back often.

Don’t you just smile from ear to ear when you finish making a card and think…Yes! I love it! And when that happens can you part with the card? Be honest! I know it’s not easy but because I’m trying to send more cards this year I’m going to send this card out to some lucky person that comments on my post today. I’m thinking maybe I should start doing that every day. What do you think…does that sound like a fun idea?
This was actually my first play with two amazing products in the Sale-A-Bration catalog and I created it for a tutorial co-op I belong to. You can get the Amazing You stamp set Free with a $50 purchase and the and the coordinating Celebrate You Thinlits Dies Free with a $100 purchase. They work great together or choose your favorite. Just remember if you want them both, when your order hits $150 you also get Stampin’ Rewards! Now that’s a lot of free stuff!!
To see all the FREE Sale-A-Bration items you can choose from, including the newest onesthat were just released yesterday click here. But if you need copies of our catalogs on hand to fuel your creativity click here and I’ll make sure to drop them in the mail to you.
Stamping your own background paper is easy, fun and keeps you from having to search for the perfect coordinating paper. Here I stamped the flower image randomly on the whisper white layer with Smokey Slate ink.
Black and white always looks great with a pop of color and here I used Bermuda Bay…my favorite color. The Stampin’ Blends give you such vibrant color. I like to always start light and add layers of color until I like what I see.
It’s easy to give your flowers dimension. Stamp and color two flowers, cut the center from one and pop it up with dimensionals on the stamped flower. More dimension is added on the card by popping up the die cut ‘you’.
And I almost forgot…check out the shimmer ribbon. It’s one of three ribbons in a pack you can get FREE during Sale-A-Bration!
