Whimsy & Wonder – Pinks, Blues & Green For Christmas

Today’s card was featured in one of my Simply Beautiful Card classes. An easy way to make a beautiful card is to start with beautiful paper.  In this case I used one of the prints from the Whimsy & Wonder 12″ x12″ Designer Series Paper.  Whimsical ornaments in pinks, blues and greens with the added element of shiny foil. (So shiny it was difficult to take a photo)

Start with pretty paper and layer it with colors found in the paper. I used both the Misty Moonlight and Mint Macaron. It’s what I love the most about Stampin’ Up!’s products…the color coordination.

The sentiment was embossed with White Embossing Powder on a label from the Ornate Frames Dies.  It’s a really nice set of dies if you are looking for frames and labels for your sentiments.  Foil leaves were cut using the Pierced Booms Dies.  This die set is my absolute favorite!  It’s a stand alone die set that makes beautiful stitched flowers and leaves!  The silver trim from the Simply Elegant Trim was tied in a double bow to add that little bit of special!

Nature’s Harvest Simple and Sweet

Nature's Harvest Bundle

Sometimes, do you just need a pretty card in a hurry?  Well, today I wanted to share a quick and simple card I made using the Nature’s Harvest Bundle.  Yes, this set has bonus dies and is fun to color but the Nature’s Harvest Stamp Set and one ink pad will allow you to create a card just like this one.

Choose one of the pretty patterns in the Harvest Meadow 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper and then do your stamping in that color.  I choose one of the Misty Moonlight patterns and then stamped in the same color.  Look at all these pretty choices of patterns!

Harvest Meadow Designer Series Paper

I offset the blue with the Cork 12″ x 12″ Specialty Paper to add some texture and another color.  And then I decided to put a little twist in the layout instead of making everything straight.  Does that little twist come easy for you or does your brain just want it to be straight!  If you need it straight just make sure you cut the cork a quarter of an inch larger then the stamped layer.

Tutorial below and here’s a link to a Nature’s Harvest Card I posted earlier that’s stepped up with coloring and die cutting.

Happy Heart Stamper’s Fall Swaps

Have you ever participated in a card swap?  Or are you wondering…what is a card swap?  If that’s the case, it’s a group of card makers coming together to trade cards.  Each person designs one card and makes enough to swap with all the other members in the group. It’s a great way to to receive lots of different cards to send to family and friends while only having to design one.

There are lots of different reason why demonstrators participate in a swap.  Some just to increase their stash of cards to send out.  Others use them for inspiration, to case for classes, and in their businesses.  But no matter what the reason swapping is a lot of fun!  I love going to the mail box and finding there’s a handmade card waiting for me!

Today I thought I would share several of the fall swaps I received from team members on my Happy Heart Stampers Team.

Season’s Blessings Bundle Not Just For The Holidays

Season's Blessings by Stampin' Up!

I love craft products that I can use all year long. That’s why I love the Season’s Blessings Bundle!

It includes the Season’s Blessings Stamp Set and the Seasonal Basket Dies. At first, you might think this bundle is mainly for the Christmas holidays. The Stamp Set has poinsettias and a basket to put them in, along with a seasonal sentiment, for holiday cards.

But there’s more!  You can use the flower and leaf images year-round, in different ink colors for different occasions. The same with the sentiments. Use them for birthdays, thanks, gratitude, thinking of you. Don’t forget the dies! They add polish to your projects with so little effort. They make your cards look like you spent more time on them than you did. That’s always a plus!

So if you are looking for versatility take a look at this great bundle!  For Free tutorials of both these cards Click Here.

Here’s another fun card showing this bundle’s versatility.

Check out all the stamped images and dies.

If I can answer any questions or help you in any way please contact me.

Whimsy & Wonder Christmas Joy

Whimsy & Wonder Christmas Joy created with Stampin' Up! products

Do you every look through a new catalog for the first time and immediately know which stamp set or bundle is your absolute favorite? Usually that’s not the case for me.  I need to go through more then once and I almost always have several I really like and can’t choose a favorite.  Well, that wasn’t the case with this holiday mini catalog!

I am usually a traditional Christmas red and green girls but when I say the samples and products for the Whimsy & Wonder Suite I knew right then that I needed every product in the suite.  Did you know when that happens to you, you can just enter the suite item code and everything pops in your cart?  Love it!

What I love about this suite:

  • First, the Whimsy & Wonder 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper – pink, blues and greens that just seem girly.  My favorite patterns are the  packages, snowflakes  and holly.
  • Bonus Dies – that’s what I call the extra dies that are now coming in the die sets.  The dies to cut the garland and extra trees.
  • Check out the Wonderful Snowflakes – iridescent on one side but you can color the back side and color you would like.
  • Grosgrain Ribbon in blushing bride pink and it’s frayed on the edges…love it!
  • The Mini Machine symbol – means that every die in the set will work in the Mini Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine!
