Today I thought I would share some of the pictures I took of the on stage stamping at Leadership 2013.
This first card uses the Sale-a-bration Stamp Set Madison Avenue and the Sunshine & Sprinkles Designer Series Paper. You can receive this stamp set FREE with a $50 order during Sale-a-bration. Which begins very soon…next Tuesday the 22nd!
What do you think about the feathers on this card? They look unbelievably real don’t they? The were made from the Creped Filter Paper on page 6 of the Spring Catalog. I can’t wait to try this.
Such a cute baby shower card. The Oh Whale! stamp set is adorable! And I love the way Brian Pilling added the umbrella from the Rain or Shine set. I just ordered some of those Cute Clips on page 28 of the Spring Catalog. They should be here Friday and I can hardly wait. I love this year’s Spring Catalog. How about you?
Leadership 2013…a week to remember. Inspiration, motivation, instruction, friendships new and old, are just a few of the reason I go to Leadership. Oh, and let me not forget to mention fun, fun, fun!
This year I attended with Monika Davis and Linda Madison
Meeting new people is always fun. – Catherine Pooler and I
Shelli Garner, CEO of Stampin’ Up!, is such an inspiration and so down to earth. Actually, she’s a hoot!
On stage stamping is always fun. Sara Douglass showed several projects she created from the Artisan Embellishments Kit which is now at the top of my must have list from the 2013 Spring Catalog. Here’s a few.
Love all the prize patrols and freebies! We had no idea who joined us for the picture…Look it’s Brian Pilling from Stampin’ Up!’s Home Office
In addition to the Paper Pumpkin which I posted about in my last post, Stampin’ Up! has come out with a new stamp set created…for men by men! Yes, it’s true. And it’s available today. Dude, You’re Welcome! Click on the video about to see more. So if you want the man in your life to make you cards this would be a perfect gift to get him for Valentine’s Day.
Beautiful morning in the North Georgia Mountains. And…I am still continuing the celebration of my birthday week! 🙂 My sweet dear friend of many years is taking me to lunch and a movie today. Since I’m running late this will be a quick share.
I created this card as my swap for the August PAWS meeting. This flower was used in a project at convention this year. It was in one of the extra classes that we were able to take in the evening. It’s made with the 1-3/4″ Scallop Circle.
Punch five scallops.
Take 4 of the scallops and crumple them in your hand.
Open them out and fold each of them in half and in half again.
Use the extra scallop as the base and glue each quarter folded scallop to the base.
Make sure each folded scallop is facing in the same direction as you glue them around.
They should fit perfectly on the base. If not, you can refold the the scallop so that it will fit.
I actually created this card first for my swap and then realized that I didn’t have enough of this patterned pattern paper to make all the cards. That’s what I love about this project…the color combos are endless.
The Adorning Accents Folders added a sweet extra touch to this card. I used the small hearts across the middle. And then added the the edge folder that coordinates with the Edgelit I used to cut the bottom of the whisper white layer.
This is is such a fun flower! Here you can see the many layers. The Boho Blossom Punch was used for the center with a Bitty Button and Basic Pearl.
If you decide to give this flower a try. Let me know how it turns out or better yet email me a pic.
Gotta run! Have a wonderful day. Don’t forget to leave a comment and share it with others. It makes my day!
Today I wanted to share some more pictures of samples form Convention. These projects come from the Stampin’ Up! product boards…I hope. My pictures are so mixed up. I thought I had everything organized put after downloading pics from other people my Photoshop Elements Organizer is a mess.
There were all types of projects. I loved the boards with all the different ways to make flowers so I included a few here. The variety was amazing! The My Digital Studio Projects would make you want to sign up for the free trial right now! Actually I bought MDS2 Plus this morning!
So take a peek and every so often I will post some more of my convention pictures.
It’s taken me a few days to get unpacked and organized. My mom left the hospital as I was leaving for convention so we’ve had to do some follow up visits in Atlanta with docs. I also have a fancy fold card class tomorrow night so I have been preparing for that. By the way, there are a few spots open so if you are local and would like to join us give me a call or text me today.
Thought I would share one of the cards for the class with you. It’s a folded gift card holder. Summer Starfruit is one of my new favorite colors. This color has had to grow on some people but I loved it from the start. The cupcake is from the Got Milk Stamp Set. It’s a cute idea.
The color combo is from the Color Coach…the Sweet Set for the color Summer Starfruit. It’s a great tool if you need a place to start. It gives you 3 ideas for each color – a Dynamic Duo, a Creative Combination, and a Sweet Set.
The Stripes Embossing Folder gives texture to both the inside and outside panel. Once you own your Big Shot it’s an inexpensive way to add interest to your layers.
The embossing folder mimics the stripes in the cupcake and the Scallop Dots Ribbon does the same with the cupcake sprinkles. This helps to pull the entire project together.
Then add a little Dazzling Details to the sprinkles for that extra touch. Wish you could see it in person. 🙂
A view to show the gift card holder.
Now let me show you all the swaps, gifts, and make and takes I brought back from convention! The container (much larger then it looks in the picture) is full and overflowing. Just think if I would have had even more time to make the general swaps I had intended to make. There’s so much to share it’s difficult to know where to start.
Here’s an idea that was shown on main stage. At the time I thought for sure I would remember who showed what projects but I’m finding my memory is not as good as I hoped it would be. 🙂
What a great way to use those cute colorful Dahlias.
A darling little Valentine’s Card.
This one would surely cheer someone up.
Clean and Simple but so sweet.
I think my favorite is the Christmas card…do you have a favorite?
This next card is at the opposite of the spectrum. Nothing clean and simple about this card but it’s so different and gorgeous.
Let me end today with a sweet scrapbook page that I’m guessing was on the boards.
Thanks for stopping by. If you have questions feel free to text or email me…and always feel free to leave a comment.
