Welcome to the October One Stamp At a Time (OSAT) Blog Hop. The theme this month is fall which is perfect for the weather we’re having in the North Georgia Mountains. I’m in love with the Lighthearted Leaves stamp set…I truly am. I took two of the leaves from the last hop project and combined them in a different way to get a whole new look even though the colors are identical.
I’m also taking part in the Create, Inspire & Share Blog Hop that started last night. You can take a peek at my gorgeous sunflower card HERE.
So whether you’re starting the hop with me or have come from Terri Takashige’s fun blog I hope you’ll visit every blog in the lineup and discover some inspiration or a project you would like to make. Have fun and remember…if you lose your way there’s a list of all the hoppers at the bottom of the page.
Here’s a close up of the card. I designed it for a swap I took part in at the Stampin’ Up! Getaway Trip.
- I used the heat embossed resist technique on the leaves just like I did on the card in the last hop. But this time I added a Crushed Curry layer with one of the leaves cut out.
- I used the glue and glitter splatter technique along with one of the splatter stamps from the Gorgeous Grunge set. Yes, the gal that has always hated the mess of glitter is loving this fun way to splatter glitter on everything. 🙂
- The sentiment is heat embossed with Gold Embossing Powder and I love the look.
- The treat container was made with the Fry Box Die. You need to cut two long sides from the die. I have a picture at the end of the supply list showing what the two pieces should look like.
- The Large Oval Punch was used to create the handles.
- Stamp the smallest leaf in the Lighthearted Leaves set randomly on the box with Cajan Craze ink while you can still lay it flat….BEFORE you adhere it together. Yes I have made that mistake in the past. 🙂
- I added a Cajan Craze button from the Regal Designer Buttons with some gold cording.
- Now you can fill a cello bag with chocolate and tie it up with a gold ribbon for a coworker, friend, or to place at your Thanksgiving table.
Have a wonderful day!
