I was invited to a Pampered Chef party tonight and the theme was Tacos and Tie Dyed! The first thing I said to the hostess is “I don’t own anything tie dyed!” Knowing that I’m a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator Dixie suggested that I make a tie dyed pin. What a great idea! Sorry to say the party was called off and I will be wearing my flower to dinner tonight . I was thinking in my hair for the party but maybe as a pin for dinner? Not so brave out in public. 🙂
The flower is made with the retired Daisy Flower Die with Tempting Turquoise, Melon Mambo, and Daffodil Delight to match the top I decided to wear.
I also thought it would be fun to bring my hostess a gift so I made this cute little box with some chocolate. It’s decorated using the Chalk Talk Stamp Set. The box is one that Dawn Olchefske shared on her site. Very easy to make and a great size. I shared this box with my club this month in a green and pink color scheme. I’m in a hurry to get out of the house so I’ll share that one with you tomorrow.
This was as close as I could come to tie dyed with this year’s Venetian Romance Designer Series Paper. I know it’s not really that close but it did turn out cute. Maybe Dixie will reschedule her party now that she knows chocolate was involved. lol
So often my paper crafting comes in handy besides making cards and scrapbooking. Do you find that’s the case for you too? Leave a comment and share these cute projects with your friends.
Thanks you for stopping by…hope to see you tomorrow!
