One of the things stampers love to do is swap projects. We swap hundreds of cards at convention but also love to swap in small groups. Today I would like to share some of the swaps from my team meeting earlier this month. The theme of the swap was of course the Spring Catalog.
Gigi’s card uses the Hearts of Flutter Stamp Set and Framelits Bundle. A large heart was cut from the card base forming a window. I love the gray and red color combo and the paper pierced details.
This cute little flower is made with the 1 1/4″ Scallop Circle Punch and the stem is from the flower in the Oh, Hello Stamp Set. If you try to duplicate this card Leishman says she placed a solid white circle behind the middle of the doily because without it she thought it looked too transparent. The Lacy Brocade Embossing Folder makes the perfect background.
Aren’t you crazy about the Secret Garden Stamp Set and Framelits Dies Bundle? Here the flowers are embossed. This can be done in one of two ways – Stamp with VersaMark and use White Embossing Powder or…Stamp with Whisper White Craft Ink and emboss with clear embossing power. The Designer Series Paper is from the Print Poetry Paper Stack and it’s only $6.95. And the fun Vine Street Embossing Folder is Free when you place a $50 order during Sale-a-bration. Plus you get Stamp and Embellish Reward Points.
Yes, I wish I had posted this project before Valentine’s Day. 🙁 But when you take a second look wouldn’t it make a cute favor for a little girl’s birthday party? It uses both a banner and heart from the Hearts a Flutter Bundle. I like the way it’s designed as a slider…when you pull up on the ribbon out comes the box of candy. Nikki says she did this card in a class several weeks ago and I’m sure the ladies loved it.
I’ve decided to reorganize my stamp room…what a mess! I started Sunday by having my son move several of the Ikea Cabinets to different spots. He did it with a smile even though I’m sure he was thinking I’d gone bonkers. After I fed him dinner and thanked him a bunch I went upstairs and pulled everything out of every cabinet and started from scratch! So that’s why I haven’t posted all week. I am just about finished so with any luck the stamp room will be ready to stamp in by Saturday. Yeah!!!!
